PARKING

Choose from five public parking lots or street parking. Over 400 metered street spots are free after 6 p.m. and all day on Sundays. Public parking lots are enforced 24 hours a day at the following locations:

- Corner of South 18th & East Carson Streets

- Corner of South 18th & Sidney Streets

- East Carson Street between 12th & 13th Streets

- East Carson Street between 19th & 20th Streets

- 20th & Sidney Street Parking Plaza

 

Choose from four public parking garages at SouthSide Works. Check out directions and a map.

- Ladle Parking - Sidney & 26th Streets

- Furnace Parking - 28th Street between East Carson & Sidney Streets

- Hot Metal Parking - Sidney & 28th Streets

- Ingot Parking - Between Sidney Street & Tunnel Boulevard

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The Port Authority of Allegheny County provides convenient and affordable bus transit service through the South Side. For current bus routes, visit the Port Authority website.

The following bus routes currently serve the South Side:

- 44 Knoxville (Downtown, Station Square, South Hills Junction, Allentown, Beltzhoover, Knoxville, Mount Oliver, Saint Clair)

- 48 Arlington (Downtown, Station Square, South Side Flats, SouthSide Works, Arlington, Mount Oliver, Knoxville, Allentown Beltzhoover, South Hills Junction)

- 51 Carrick (Downtown, Station Square, South Side Flats, South Side Slopes, Mount Oliver, Bon Air, Carrick, Brentwood)

- 54C/D North Side-Oakland-South Side (Allegheny Center, North Side, Strip District, Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, Oakland, South Side Flats, South Side Slopes, Mount Oliver, Beltzhoover, South Hills Junction, with alternate routing via Polish Hill and Bon Air)

- 75 Ellsworth (Bakery Square, East Liberty, Shadyside, Oakland, South Side Flats, SouthSide Works)

- 81 Oak Hill (Downtown, Crawford Square, Hill District, Oak Hill, Oakland, South Side Flats, Wharton Square)

- 83 Webster (Downtown, Crawford Square, Hill District, Bedford Hill, Schenley Heights, Oak Hill, Oakland, South Side Flats, Wharton Square)
