Assistance Program (NAP)
In 1998, the SSLDC and PNC Bank earned a highly competitive ten-year,
$2.5 million grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community
and Economic Development for Comprehensive Services Program/Neighborhood
Assistance Program.
The program enables SSLDC to:
- Partner with PNC Bank, Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation,
and The Brashear Association to provide services in South Side
and adjacent public housing communities.
- Fund programs in education, human services, job development,
drug and crime prevention, housing, and leadership development.
Elm
Street Program
Elm
Street is a new Commonwealth initiative intended as a residential
complement to the successful Main Street Program. It encourages
activities such as streetscape & façade improvements,
infrastructure repair, marketing, connecting residents and promoting
the neighborhood. Grant funds are provided for planning, technical
assistance and physical improvements.
Elm

needs:

Safe & Green
- Design
-
Neighbors & Economy

- Offers a home repair service for seniors.
